I am Captain Romel Saweress the owner and founder of SeaScorpions LLC. I established this company in 2009 with my experience and knowledge in the maritime industry. At the age of nineteen, I graduated from AAST maritime college with a degree in Maritime Transportation and Business. Later I acquired my bachelor degree in International Relations from AMU Military College. I currently hold a Masters license and other professional certifications in the maritime industry and I am also a former Law Enforcement Officer. In addition to my own experience my family has a long and rich history in the maritime industry. My father was active in several areas of the industry as well as other members of the family. My young brother has followed in our footsteps graduating from SUNY Maritime College and earning his Master licenses. During my time in the industry I have had the pleasure of serving on board various types of vessels and holding positions shore side as well. Severing as port captain, designated person ashore, company trainer, and agent has given me another perspective of the industry. I enjoy spending my down time serving my community through the USCG Auxiliary, Guardian ad Litem Program, Knights of Columbus, Masonic Lodge, Shrine Club, and other local community groups. My diverse background and leadership experience is what I draw on to devise solutions for issues or when developing plans of actions. Having knowledge and vision has served me well and I would like to put my talents to work for you.
